A League Of Its Own: Cricketing Treat For Birthday Boy

Nowadays birthday parties are not the regular old school ones, but it comes with a whole package of themes and decorations. Recently a cricket themed birthday party held in Mayfair Hotels & Resorts, Bhubaneswar caught everyone’s attention. 

It was the 11th birthday of Dilip Ray (Chairman & Managing Director Mayfair Group of Hotels) and Pooja Ray’s son Rishee Ray on 11th of November. Since the champ is a huge cricket fan, so parents Pooja Ray and Dilip Ray decided to throw a cricket themed party for their beloved son. 

A mini IPL version was set up inside the hotel and Rishi’s friends were grouped in two teams namely Mayfair Knight Riders and Mayfair Royal Challengers. All the kids were ecstatic and overjoyed with the event proceedings, and each one of them participated whole heartedly. In the end, Mayfair Knight Riders were declared as the ultimate winners. Apart from cricket, there were various activity stalls to keep the kids engaged. A sumptuous dinner was cooked up which even included Hyderabadi Haleem, Calcutta Biryani, Nizam Rolls, Mumbai Vada Pav, other mouth watering delicacies and a range of desserts. 

The guest list included Rishee’s friends and many renowned personalities. Debasish Mohanty (former India pace bowler) and Jitu Satpathy (former Ranji trophy player for Odisha) were also present to cheer Rishee and his friends. Dilip Ray and Pooja Ray along with the entire Mayfair Hotels and Resorts Family was seen taking care of all the guests personally. It was indeed a great evening which will always be remembered by Rishee, his friends and all the guests. 

The Mayfair Outdoor Catering & Events wing of the Mayfair group has off late making considerable strides in setting new benchmarks for events in the city. In the first week of November they successfully completed an event for close to 8000 delegates for the RSSDI doctors conference held between Siksha O Ayudhan University and Janta Maidan. With major sporting events and more doctors conferences coming up in the city over the next few months along with the wedding season, the Mayfair Outdoor Catering and Events team is absolutely geared up to take events and catering to a new level in Odisha.
