Cake Mixing Ceremony At Mayfair Lagoon, Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar 18: With Christmas not far away, the idea of preparing and relishing yummy cakes is something that cheers up everyone. Ushering in the joy, Bhubaneswar’s leading hotel, Mayfair Lagoon spread the cheer and warmth of the upcoming festive season, much ahead of others in the city. They organised their annual cake mixing ritual at Mamma Mia Cafe, the hotel’s Bakery and Confectionery outlet.

This event was elaborately arranged with beautiful Christmas decorations and carols playing in the background. All the chefs were seen joyfully participating in the event, along with Pooja Ray, wife of Dilip Ray (Chairman & Managing Director Mayfair Group of Hotels) and son Rishee Ray besides other prominent personalities of Bhubaneswar.

“This is not a normal Christmas cake. We have used top-class dry fruits, nuts, apricot, dates, prunes, cherries, raisins, blackcurrant, fig and many others in our cake to zest it up. The key part to the taste of this cake is great quality alcohol, including single malt whiskies, brandies, dark rum etc. The contents of this cake will be kept in a container to mature, for a month. By the Christmas time, all the ingredients blended together will release a rich aroma. This is a very important part to the taste of Christmas cake. I am sure our cake is going to be excellent and will be crowned as one of the best Christmas cakes in Bhubaneswar” said Head Chef Bakery Section, Mayfair

Cake mixing was followed by hi-tea for the guests that included a wide range of delicacies and Christmas special red wine.
