ALL ABOUT THE BUN
A bun (also known as a bobtail) is a type of hairstyle where the hair is pulled back from the face, twisted or plaited, and wrapped in a circular coil around itself, typically on the back of the head or neck. They can either be secured with a hairpiece, a hairnet or bobby pins. One way to collate long hair is to make a hair bun and there are many styles that can be followed. You can make a bun on the top or a low bun. You can make double or triple bun, messy or elegant bun.

For a Top Knot Bun:
After your daily shampoo and conditioning, towel dry and blow dry your hair straight. This look is very sleek so follow it up with a ceramic flat iron. Next, pull your hair high up to the crown of your head and secure with a ponytail holder. Then coil the ends around to meet the crown and secure in place with a bobby pin or two. Use a little hair spray and a brush to tame flyaway and make sure your edges are especially smooth.

For a Messy Bun:
No time? No worries. A messy bun is perfect when you’re in a rush and works perfectly fine on hair that hasn’t been washed in a day or two. Your goal is a carefree look anyway, so at the most use a dry shampoo. First, flip your head over and loosely pull your hair to your crown and cure in place with a ponytail holder. Loosen it just a bit and then lightly wrap into a bun securing with bobby pins as you go. Finish with bobby pins and define spray.

Curly Bun
Whether you have straight hair, curly hair or a mixt
ure of both, creating a curly bun is a great low maintenance look that gets your hair out of your face. The curly bun creates interesting and elaborate coils in the hair. In order to create this look, pull the hair into a ponytail. Twist the small sections of the hair, curl it back up to the top and then pin it in place. Repeat this process until the entire ponytail has been coiled and pinned to the top of the ponytail.

Sock Bun
Ever since the sock bun was invented, it has been one of every girl’s goals to master it. It got its name because some women create an extra volume using a rolled up sock. Simply pull your hair back into a ponytail & then pull your ponytail through the center of the sock doughnut. Next, spread the end of your ponytail around the doughnut and continue rolling down making sure to tuck in any loose pieces of hair while you go, until you reach the base of the ponytail. Finish the process by tidying up loose pieces with bobby pins and next you are just so ready to go!
