Based on the catastrophic consequences that climate change is unleashing onto our environment, the film’s trailer is enough to raise audience’s interest in the concerning issue of the day. It begins with how we are now living in an environment where it is rains heavily for days well into the winter season. Monsoons are no more a respite from heat. So far, the trailer has already crossed ten million views on You Tube and Facebook.Shorey who played the role of a man from Kendrapara district in Odisha in the film, said, “Although the backdrop of the film is on climate change, the story is about two different characters.” Speaking about his role in the movie, he said, “I have played the character of an Odia man (Gunubabu) in the film. I had to do a certain amount of research for the role and worked hard to improvise and perfect my Odia accent.”

The actor, when asked if he would do an Odia film, if given an offer, he said, “I will definitely work if Nila Madhab Panda will be the director of the film. He is hardworking and I really enjoyed working with him.”While actor Sanjay Mishra who plays the lead role in the movie said, “It is high time now that Bollywood should make movies like ‘KadviHawa’. Since movies are one of the strongest mediums in creating awareness about an issue, our film makers should make more such movies.”

Addressing the press conference during the promotion of the film, director of the film Nila Madhab Panda said, “Through ‘Kadvi Hawa’ I want to make the audience conscious about the remaining natural resources that humans are left with. I wanted to make a film that would have stayed in people’s mind for a long time because our fight with environmental issues has no end.”
