Odisha Likely To Host 7th Senior National Foot Volley Championship and Inter-National Foot Volley Tournament

For the first time, Odisha could be playing host to an international Foot Volley Tournament. As per the Odisha Foot Volley Association, the seventh Senior National Foot Volley Championship and Inter-National Foot Volley Tournament (World Championship 2018) is likely to held in the state.

Last year, the championship, which was held at Kozhikode, was a huge success. But this year, two places are being considered for the tournament, Kozhikode and Puri. “The officials shall soon be confirming the place but Puri has been given the first priority,” said Satyabrat Ratho, President Odisha Foot Volley Association who was also nominated as Senior Vice-President of Foot Volley Association of India and South Asia Foot Volley Confederation at the State Executive Council Meeting held on Wednesday.

“This championship will be organised with all men and women players. The venue will be finalised after inspection of all the prospects” said Sahadev Rout, Executive Secretary, Odisha Foot Volley Association Cuttack.

Meanwhile, the coach of the men and women teams were felicitated along with the President of Odisha Foot Volley Association Satyabrat Ratho.
