10th AARYA Awards Honors Women From Various Fields
Parichay Foundation, a philanthropic organization engaged in promoting Indian art and culture and bringing about economic and social upliftment for the underprivileged in urban slums and rural parts of Odisha and New Delhi, organized the 10th edition of AARYA Awards on March 6. The event celebrated the International Women’s Day at Mayfair Convention here in Bhubaneswar.
The event was inaugurated by H.E.Moe Kyaw Aung, Ambassador of Myanmar, Dr. Amrit Pattojoshi, Neuropsychiatrist, Amit Pandey, Motivational Speaker and Ollywood duo Sabyasachi Mishra and Archita Sahu, in the presence of Prasanna Kumar Patasani, former BJD MP and Priyadarshi Mishra, former BJD MLA
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kyaw Aung said, “I want to congratulate all the achievers and wish you all a Happy Women’s Day. Parichay Foundation has been doing a commendable job for the society and I feel proud that I got an opportunity to get associated with this.”
Women achievers from various fields were felicitated with the prestigious award. The awardees included Matilda Kullu and Harapriya Nayak for social work, Poly Patnaik for education, Dr. Sunanda Mishra Panda and Dr. Minakhi Das for literature, Dr. Maya Gantayet for business leadership and medical science, Kuku Das for NRO, Priyanka Das and Sashimani Moharana (Raghurajpur) for art and culture, Lopamudra Priyadarshini for media, Deep Grace Ekka for sports, Luma Rath and Leesha Rath for social media influence, Nikita Baliarsingh, Nishita Baliarsingh and Amrita Sabat for entrepreneurship, and Meenakshi Mohanty for Fitness and Wellness. While Amrita Sabat and Nibedita Nayak received a special citation, Sadhna Mishra and Sujata Priyadarshini received a special mention.
Founder, Parichay Foundation, Rosalin Patasani Mishra, said, “Parichay has always stood for women empowerment and AARYA Awards is our tribute to all women who are scripting their own success and inspiring stories from different fields.”
Parichay Foundation, which has been felicitated by the President of India and recognized by the United Nations for its outstanding work, has been organizing AARYA Awards since 2012. From 2016, Parichay has also started Shrie Awards, to acknowledge the achievements of men in various sectors, organizing the award ceremony on the occasion of Father’s Day. Recently, the foundation also launched its pilot project, Alaknanda Scholarship Programme for drop-out girl students across the state.
