Ananya Sritam Nanda Teams Up With Udit Narayan for ‘Akhire Akhi’

Odia music lovers were treated to a musical delight when last Saturday, the studio version of a new Odia romantic song ‘Akhire Akhi’ released on YouTube channel, ‘Armaan Music’.

The song is a duet, sung by Indian Idol winner and Ollywood’s youngest female singer Ananya Sritam Nanda along with the legendary Bollywood singer Udit Narayan. The song has become a rage online within two days of its release with views close to 1 lakh and more than 5.6k likes.Written by Subrat Swain, the song has been created for the upcoming film ‘O Sanam O Sanam’ with music direction by Japani.

For singer Udit Narayan, Odisha is more like his second home considering the large number of Odia songs to his credit. People love Odia songs sung by him more than any other singer. However, of late, Ollywood has been witnessing a large number of new artists coming to the fore. This has led to less dependence on Bollywood singers including Udit Narayan.Nevertheless, the singer retains his charm in Odisha. Last year, the singer proved his uniqueness with the song ‘Hai To Prema Ra Rangoli’ from the film ‘Blackmail’ which became a huge hit so much so that audiences frequented theatres to watch the song.

Working with Udit Narayan for the first time, an excited Ananyais  hopeful that the song will become a big hit. Meanwhile, Udit Narayan is also hopeful. He said, “This is a very romantic song and I feel like it’s a very beautiful gift to all my Odia fans this New Year.”
