Benny Dayal Sings Paeans To ‘One Of The Most Beautiful Cities In India’
A new generation favourite, Benny Dayal is your quintessential stage performer, putting an extra ounce of energy in all his numbers when he sings for his fans. The singer, who shot to fame with songs like ‘Disco Deewane’, ‘Badtameez Dil’, ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, ‘Disco Disco’ and ‘Kaise Mujhe Tum’, hails from Kerala and got his big break with AR Rahman in 2002 with a song for the Tamil film ‘Baba’.
MCL caught up with the new age sensation for a freewheeling chat. Here’s Benny Dayal unplugged:
What do you like about Bhubaneswar?
According to me, Bhubaneswar is one of the most beautiful cities in India. We know Odisha has struggled a lot to develop and it has reached an appreciable stage now. I like the roads, infrastructure and, of course, the beauty of nature here.
What do you have to say on the city hosting the Men’s Hockey World Cup?
I want to congratulate Odisha. It’s a very important step and will boost tourism here. All the best from me for the event and I hope more people would give recognition to Bhubaneswar after its success.
What is your message for young singers?
Rehearse, practice and choose good songs to sing.

I am thankful for their love. Do support my music and I will entertain you till the end of my life.
