Bhubaneswar Airport Currently Has No International Flights, Direct Bangkok Service From October 1
Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar currently has no operational international flight services, Odisha Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena informed the State Assembly on Thursday.
The minister gave the information in response to a question raised by MLA Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo. According to Jena, Bhubaneswar Airport was connected to 33 domestic destinations in 2025. However, the number of domestic destinations declined to 19 in 2026.
Meanwhile, direct flight services between Bhubaneswar and Bangkok are scheduled to begin from October 1, providing an international air connectivity option from the Odisha capital.
