‘Biju Babu’ Releases Today Amidst Hype

‘Biju Babu’, the most awaited Odia film this season, released on Friday at Brindaban cinema hall in Cuttack and at Cinepolis, Esplanade Mall, Bhubaneswar. The film showcases the beliefs and philosophy of legendary leader Biju Patnaik. The role of Biju Babu has been portrayed by veteran actor Ashrumochan Mohanty. The cast and crew of the film including producer Akshay Kumar Parija, presenter-cum-producer of the movie Dr Nila Madhab Panda, lead actors Anubhav Mohanty and Supriya Nayak, watched the film with the audience in Bhubaneswar.

Anubhav said, “Through this film we have tried to create awareness about fake news, which is dragging the youth towards a wrong path in this modern era. We are addicted to mobile phones which has become our primary news source. But there is no way to know the real from the fake. So we all need to be aware about it. Along with Biju Babu’s thoughts, we also have tried to show the self respect of Odia people in this film.”

Madhab says, “Being an Odia I am excited as it is my first Odia film. I have tried to add maximum Odiasm to this story. You can also listen to the song ‘Bande Utkala Janani’ composed by the famous Bollywood music trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. It has good music, good action, and good story so it’s a complete package for the audience.”

Akhaya said, “The subject of the film which is taken as the villain of the story is brilliant. We all face this villain everyday in our lives, that is fake news. This is a good movie, and the entire team has worked very hard to make it a Bollywood level film.”

Supriya said, “I can’t say much about the film in few lines, all I can do is  appeal to the audience to come and watch this film and, most importantly, watch Biju Babu on the big screen for the first time.”
