‘Biju Babu’ Trailer And Music Unveiled

It was a star studded affair at the Maharaja Picture Palace, Bhubaneshwar where the official trailer and music launch of the film ‘Biju Babu’ took place on Monday afternoon. 

The entire cast and crew were present on the occasion along with well known celebrities from the industry. The audience seems to have shown a warm response to the trailer and songs of the film. 

Presented by Nila Madhab Panda, the film has been produced by Eleeanora Images Production in association with Akshay Parija Productions and Prakash Films, starring Anubhav Mohanty and Supriya Nayak in lead roles. The film also stars Chittaranjan Tripathy,  Pragyan and Sanjeeb. While the DOP of the film is Pratap Rout, it has been directed by Devi Prasad Lenka and Vishal Mourya.

Filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda said, “While discussing the film, the first thing we decided was to make it a ‘Sola Ana Odia’ (pure Odia) film. The entire team including actors, technicians and co-producers, has put in a lot of hard work to make it happen. We all are artists and we have tried our best to gift the audience a good film. It’s upto them if they accept it or reject it.”

Ollywood superstar Anubhav Mohanty further elaborated, “I remember, whenever I would meet him, I used to ask Madhab Bhai about making an Odia film. I am honoured to work with him in his first Odia film. This is also a great news for our industry. As we have mentioned earlier, this film is not a biopic, it’s a wholesome entertainment film. The legend Biju Babu (Biju Patnaik) can never die, he exists in each and every ‘Swabhimani Odia’ (self-respectful Odia). This film will show his ideology and doesn’t contain any political undertone. It is made for all age groups and is a complete family entertainment with impactful messages.”

Music director of the film, Prem Anand expressed his gratefulness to Madhab Bhai and Anubhav. “I’m thankful to them for giving me this opportunity to work for such a film where we have a legendary figure’s name. We have composed all the songs without any Hindi or English words.”

It is interesting to note that for the first time, one can get to see an old popular number from yesteryears being recreated in this film. In tune with the current music trend in Bollywood, ‘Biju Babu’ too has presented popular song ‘Abhimanini Ae Amania Dheu’ from the film ‘Ulka’ in a new avtaar featuring Supriya.
