During his visit to Mumbai for the WAVES-2025 summit, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized his government’s dedication to drive industrial growth and streamline ease of doing business in the state through a series of one-on-one meetings with leading investors and industry figures.

At a special investors’ meet organized as part of the summit, the Chief Minister held detailed discussions with senior officials from Google Inc. and Canarys Automation. Focus of these talks was on exploring digital governance partnerships, specifically in the areas of predictive disaster monitoring, AI-enabled administrative processes, data deduplication in public service delivery, and advanced data analytics initiatives aimed at modernizing governance and enhancing efficiency across government services.

Majhi also held separate meetings with the CEO & MD of TATA Steel TV Narendran and discussed the latter’s expansion plans in Odisha in the context of the state’s target to produce over 130 million tonnes of steel by 2030.

He met with Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry, Chairman of Shapoorji Pallonji & Company, to discuss potential synergies and explore future collaboration opportunities within the state. In a separate meeting, he engaged with Hitesh Doshi, Chairman and Managing Director of Waaree Group, to review the progress of the company’s ongoing projects in Odisha and explore the expansion of renewable energy initiatives across the region.

CM also held discussions with Anil Bhavarlal Jain, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Jain Irrigation Systems, a leader in drip and sprinkler irrigation, solar-powered agricultural solutions, and food processing. Their conversation focused on investment prospects in Odisha’s agriculture and irrigation sectors, with the goal of promoting sustainable farming practices and rural development.

Additionally, he interacted with representatives of the Chamber for Advancement of Small & Medium Enterprises (CASME), Maharashtra, encouraging them to explore MSME collaboration opportunities in food processing and packaging by leveraging Odisha’s rich raw material base.

He invited global investors to be part of Odisha’s dynamic growth journey, echoing the state’s new rallying cry, “Yahi Samay Hai, Sahi Samay Hai.” A senior official from the high-level delegation accompanying the Chief Minister in Mumbai noted that Odisha’s active participation in the WAVES-2025 summit is expected to open new avenues for collaboration with film producers, technology innovators, sports federations, tourism stakeholders, and creative industry leaders.
