Journey Of ‘Nimki’ Begins As Teaser Releases

Coming as a breath of fresh air for the Odia film industry, the teaser of ‘Nimki- Nimpur Ru Naveen Nivas’ was released on Tuesday and it has the audience raving about the movie already!

Written and directed by Susant Mani, produced by Darshini Productions and brought to life by Ollywood actor Varsha Priyadarshini, the film depicts the journey of an ordinary woman, Nimki, from a village Nimpur of Jagatsinghpur district to Bhubaneswar with the sole intention of meeting Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Inspired by the work of the Chief Minister, Nimki follows his trail in order to solve her village problems. In fact, the storyline is not just a new concept for Ollywood, but it also plans to inspire women like Nimki who could be nurturing the same dream as hers!

No wonder, the film has been generating a lot of interest among cine lovers ever since the posters were out. The film has been made in association with Prelude, Subhashree Films Pvt.Ltd and Phoenix Frames in Motion; the release date is yet to be announced.

Music for the film has been given by Prem Anand, dialogues by Dillip Choudhury and the DOP is Subharashu Das. Besides Varsha in the lead role, the film features acclaimed actor Ashrumochan Mohanty, Chittaranjan Tripathy, Trupti Sinha, Rahul, Linkon, Sagarika, Pranab, Rashmi and Aswini.

Talking about the film, Susant Mani said, “Not only with other director’s work, I am even not satisfied with my own work, because we are not getting the freedom here to make a film like we want to. So when Varsha Called me up and narrated the story to me, I was utterly pleased and congratulated her for thinking a story like this. Hope people will love the story.”

“Although the title of the film seems like a political thing, but that is not the case. As audiences are searching new type of stories, we hope they love it,” Susant further added. 

OFDC Chairperson Kuna Tripathy, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Surya Narayan Patra, Director Raju Mishra, MP Bhubaneswar Dr. Prasanna Kumar Patasani, actor Anubhav Mohanty, Varsha’s mother and Anubhav’s mother were also present for the event along with the entire star cast and members of the media fraternity.
