Kabir Hans Wins a Double Crown at AITA Doubles 1 Lakh Nationals

Kabir Hans has added another feather to his cap after clinching a double crown at the AITA Doubles 1 Lakh Nationals held in Gurukul Tennis Academy, Mendhasala, Odisha on the 10th of April, 2023. Kabir, who is the top-ranked tennis player in Odisha, showcased his impeccable skills and dominated both the Men’s Singles Final and Doubles Final.

In the Men’s Singles Final, Kabir faced Yash Yadav from Madhya Pradesh. From the beginning, Kabir was in control of the game, and Yash struggled to match his pace and power. Kabir won the match in straight sets 6-1,6-1, proving why he is the best in the state. With this victory, his rank will move up to 16 in the All India Rankings Men’s Category.

In the Doubles Final, Kabir partnered with Abhiveer Shekhawat from Rajasthan. The duo faced tough competition from Dr Satirth Patnaik and Aditya Satpathy in the first set but managed to win it 6-0. However, their opponents bounced back and won the second set 4-6, setting up a thrilling tie-breaker. Kabir and Abhiveer kept their cool and clinched the match in a nail-biting finish with a score of 10-6.
