Kalira Atita Bags Top Honours At 31st State Film Awards

The 31st Odisha State Film awards and the 8th State Tele awards were announced by the Odisha government on Friday. Director and Producer Ghanashyam Mohapatra will be felicitated with the Jaydev Award while the Mohan Sunder Dev Goswami Award or Best Film award will be given to Nila Madhab Panda for ‘Kalira Atita’. Panda also won the Best Director award for the movie. Culture Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi announced the awards today. 

While Saroj Parida won the Best Actor award for ‘Khusi’, Kavya Kiran bagged the Best Actress award for the same film. The Best Story award went to the late Kapileswar Prasad Mohapatra for Sala Budhar Badla. The Best Music Director award (Balakrushna Samman) was conferred on Baidyanath Das for the enthralling melodies in Nayaka Ra Na Devdas.

Swayam Padhi bagged the Best Playback Singer (Male) for the song Bhija Bhija Prema Chhita

and Dipti Rekha Padhi won the Best Playback Singer (Female) for the song Ae Keun Rutu Ae Keun Rasta.

Rabindra Behera won the Best Cinematographer (Pramod Pati Samman) for his photographic vision in Babu Bhaijaan. The Best Editor award went to Rajesh Das for Khusi and The Best Lyricist award went to Arun Mantri for the song Bhijei Dei Jaa Thare from the movie Bapa Tume Bhari Dusta. Santosh Narayan Das bagged the Best Screenplay award for Babu Bhaijaan.

While the Best Supporting Actor award went to Bobby Mishra for Babu Bhaijaan, the Best Supporting Actress award went to Anjana Das for Bapa Tume Bhari Dusta. Tribhuban Panda won the Best Comedian award for Golmal Love and Aishwarya Mishra won the Best Child Artist for Khusi.

The Best Art Director award went to Kalinga Keshari Nayak for Kalira Atita, the Best Sound Recordist award went to Chandrashekhar Sharma for Sala Budhar Badla and the Special Jury Award was bagged by Actor Rohit Raj for Kotie Re Gotie Mana.
