My City Icons 2022 Calendar Showcases Icons Of Odisha

Like every other year this New Year 2022 also carries great hopes from all of us. And to address that, your neighbourhood English magazine has come up with its uniquely conceptualized calendar titled ‘My City Icons Calendar 2022’. The calendar was launched at a special event held at the Press Club of Odisha, Bhubaneswar on Thursday (January 20, 2022).

With an aim to promote Odia designers, the My City Icons calendar has been envisioned with Odia icons from different fields dressed in designer apparels that showcase the aesthetics of Odia designers. Every leaf of the calendar has been designed with utmost creativity by incorporating the views of both the designers and the icons. The event was streamed live through various social media handles of My City Links. Utkal Steel and Power Pvt. Ltd, Managing Director Dr. Subasish Das joined the event as guest of honour along with other dignitaries.

The icons from Odisha like renowned Odia film actor Akash Dasnayak, Ollywood diva and social activist Anu Choudhury, popular Ollywood actor Archita Sahu and Sabyasachi Mishra, eminent Odissi dancer Padma Shri Aruna Mohanty, legendary hockey player and Chairman of Odisha Hockey Promotion Council (OHPC), Padma Shri Dilip Tirkey, and sprint queen Dutee Chand, the Italian born eminent Odissi and Chhau dancer Padma Shri Illeana Citaristi, veteran actor and chairman of Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC), Kuna Tripathy, International Master and Woman Grandmaster title holder, Indian chess player Padmini Rout, India’s Raw Star winner and popular playback singer Rituraj Mohanty, popular Odia actor and social activist Sabyasachi Mishra and internationally acclaimed sand artist Padma Shri Sudarshan Pattnaik are part of the My City Icons calendar this year. 

The designer dresses for the icons have been conceptualized by designers like ‘Label Rituparno’ by Manisha Rituparna, ‘Zuby’s Designer House’ by Zubina Ali, ‘Bivabari’ by Jyoshna Das and ‘ShriKruti Creations’ by Debasmita Mishra. SV Photography and Films is the photography partner for the calendar along with Eco Belleza The Salon as the make-up partner.
