Neowise Comet Lights Up The July Sky Around The World; Watch Now

The Neowise comet (C/2020 F3) which was discovered on March 27 this year using the Near-Earth Objects Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) space telescope, is now bright enough to be seen by the naked eye. It is the brightest comet in the northern hemisphere since Comet Hale-Bopp which appeared in 1997. It will remain prominently visible in the northwestern sky, late into the night until the end of July.

It has fascinated astronomers, stargazers and astrophotographers around the world since the second week of July. National Geographic Photographer and Founder and Director of The World At Night (TWAN) project Babak Amin Tafreshi have shared numerous pictures of this stunning interstellar object from around the globe.

My City Links brings to you some of the breathtaking views of the comet. These pictures will get you high in the sky.
