New Beneficiaries Can Apply for Subhadra Yojana in Odisha from November 1

The Odisha government has announced that new beneficiaries can apply for inclusion under the Subhadra Yojana starting November 1 through the scheme’s dedicated online portal.

Deputy CM Pravati Parida stated that women aged 21 years or above as of March 31, 2025, are eligible to apply. The new beneficiaries will receive their first installment on International Women’s Day (March 8) next year.

A flagship initiative of the BJP government, the Subhadra Yojana aims to empower women by providing ₹50,000 in financial assistance over five years. Each eligible woman, aged between 21 and 60 years, receives ₹10,000 annually in two installments, one on Raksha Bandhan and another on International Women’s Day.

Since its launch on September 17 last year, the scheme has already benefited over 1 crore women across Odisha. However, women from families with an annual income exceeding ₹2.5 lakh or owning four-wheelers or commercial vehicles are excluded from the program.
