Odisha Declares Monday as ‘No Meeting Day’ for Government Offices

The Odisha government has declared Monday as a ‘No Meeting Day’ across government departments and district administrations to facilitate grievance hearing by senior officials.

The General Administration and Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department issued a letter in this regard to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Commissioner-cum-Secretaries, departmental heads and district Collectors.

As per the directive, government departments and district administrations have been asked not to schedule any official meetings on Mondays so that senior officers can attend grievance hearing sessions without interruptions.

Government offices across Odisha conduct grievance hearing sessions every Monday. The GA&PG Department noted that senior officials often face difficulties attending these sessions when departmental meetings are scheduled on the same day. The new directive aims to ensure that officials remain available for grievance hearing and that citizens can present their concerns without scheduling conflicts.
