Piyush Puty Geared Up For ‘Halahal’ As Trailer Releases Today

Odia cinematographer Piyush Puty seems to be on a roller coaster ride! After the success of ‘Kaamyaab’ and ‘Bamfaad’, the Odia cinematographer is all geared up for his next Bollywood project  ‘Halahal’, an Eros Now Original film. The trailer of the film was released on Thursday. 

Syed Zeishan Quadri, who has written the story of the popular crime genre film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, has penned down the story of ‘Halahal’ and is also the producer of the film. Starring actors like Barun Sobti and Sachin Khedekar in lead roles and directed by debutant Randeep Jha, the film is all set to stream online on ‘Eros Now’ official app from September 21. The plot revolves around death, a botched-up investigation and the pursuit of a grieving father.

Talking about the challenges as a DOP while shooting the film, Piyush told MCL, “We shot this film in 2019. The challenge was to wrap it within 21 days, a minimum budget and minimum resources, that too at real locations. It’s a crime suspense thriller film. I accepted this challenge after listening to its brilliant story. We have shot most of the scenes at a small place near Ghaziabad. It was meant to be released on theatre but unfortunately, we don’t have any option in these tough times of the pandemic.”

“Both the actors Barun and Sachin have cooperated a lot with us as we had very less time to shoot,” he added about the actors.

Like in his previous films, in this one too, another Odia, Ashish Kumar Dash,  has worked along with Piyush as his assistant.
