Popular TV superstar Shabir Ahluwalia will be seen essaying the lead character paired opposite Sambhabana Mohanty and Neeharika Roy. Shabir was last seen in Zee TV’s longest-running, top-rated show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’.
This show is a mature romance based in modern-day Vrindavan. It will feature the intriguing journey of Mohan played by Shabir, who was once a charmer, someone who would play the flute and have everyone swooning around him. But he has somehow lost that spark and spunk along the way. He has turned into an intense, brooding man with sorrow in his eyes. In fact, Mohan carries an invisible wall around him and doesn’t let anyone in.
Talking about her character in the serial, Sambhabana said to My City Links, “Radha loves Mohan divinely, but the problem is she herself is not aware of this. I am playing a character named ‘Damini’ who is in love with Mohan, and now as per the demand of the situation, most probably, Mohan will be her. I am playing the character of a very strong and powerful lady.”

“Due to the pandemic situation I was back in my home town with my mom. So I had to take a break. Then in February this year, I got this show and we started shooting. When I came to Mumbai, I have always auditioned for TV and not for films. Because I am somebody who is not comfortable with clothes that are very revealing or content that requires doing lip-lock. So I feel TV is a safe place for me (Chuckles),” she shared when asked about the break and her choice of doing serials.
Sambhabana was last seen in her debut Odia film ‘Mun Raja Tu Rani’ opposite Arindam Roy. Another Odia film starring Sambhabana and Sambit Acharya is all set to release this Raja festival.
“The love we have portrayed through this show is the purest that can never exist actually. Because it has sacrificed, it has no expectations, and zero conditions. So I feel that is something new for the audience in this show. I hope they will love it,” the actor signed off.
