The Breathtaking Trailer Of ‘Kadvi Hawa’ by Nila Madhab Panda Is Creating A Buzz Already!

Kadvi Hawa, the first Bollywood movie to be based on climate change, has already created a buzz in Bollywood. With its official trailer video released on 29 October, it is already grabbing the attention of veteran film-makers and Bollywood celebrities, including Ajay Devgan who had tweeted saying that the trailer is worth breathing in. Having crossed more than 3.5 million views until now, the video provides a fantastic depiction of the movie, which will hit the theatres on 24 November. The trailer of the film shows two extreme climatic conditions, while one village is incessantly hit by cyclones, heavy rainfall, and floods; the other is left parched throughout.

Directed by Nila Madhab Panda, who has addressed social or environmental issues in his earlier films like ‘Kaun Kitney Pani Mein’, Kadvi Hawa features the very talented Sanjay Mishra, Ranvir Shorey and Tillotama Shome in the lead and is based on climate change besides the immense predicaments faced by farmers.

The film will be screened at the second edition of the India Kaleidoscope Film Festival (IKFF) in New York. The four-day festival will begin from November 9, where the film is expected to be appreciated by the global film fraternity.

Talking about the film, Director Nila Madhab Panda said to MCL, “The film is about two persons from different background who have hardly contributed to climate change, but are suffering from its adverse effects. The film is about their fight for the survival.”

“My film talks about environmental issues and conveys the hazards of climate change and its impact on people. Unfortunately, we are helpless driven further in that direction. The movie strongly delivers the message of climate change, and we have to accept the fact. However, we are still not conscious about it. Through this film I am trying to raise that consciousness towards protecting our environment,” he added.

Discussing about the increasing level of pollution in the country, Panda shared, “The whole world is in a problem today. We are sinking in terms of pollution. We need to talk and address the problem. If we don’t talk and accept it, then there won’t be a solution.”
